Road Clearing During Inclement Weather

Inclement weather can be a trying time .

The township parking ban is in effect if 2 or more inches of snow is in the forecast.  We ask for your cooperation with keeping all cars off the streets until a storm has passed, and the streets have been plowed.

Our crews do not intentionally plow and block a driveway with snow. We take all precautions to avoid mailboxes. The snow plows discharge snow to the curbside of the street and inevitably into driveways.  If cleaning out the end of driveways can be delayed until the street is plowed, it may save you several shoveling trips.

Occasionally, a snow or heavy slush from a snowplow will knock down a mailbox.  Most mailboxes, if they are placed and installed properly, will withstand the snow.  However, if a mailbox is knocked down, the township will replace the mailbox with a standard mailbox.

We want all to be safe as winter passes through. Best to practice slower speeds and caution at all times.
